How do I get into Real Estate?
Real Estate Agents arrange the sale and management of homes, businesses and land on behalf of the owners.Generally people either choose to work in Property Management or Residential Sales, and require a Certificate to work in either area.
To be successful in your Real Estate career you must possess:
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Good presentation and a pleasant manner
- An ability to network effectively
- Strong sales and property management focus
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of the local area.
Starting a career in Real Estate in Australia
All sales agents and property managers require qualifications and/or accreditation to work in the Real Estate industry. To enter the industry you must complete the entry level Certificate which is delivered by Kaplan Professional and issued by the relevant Governing authority of each state.
